DRAWINGS & Watercolors

DISTILLED: DRAWINGS
By distilling paintings into drawings I strip away the context and charges set forth through color and allow for the audience and myself to experience the forms in their purely “historical” terrains. Taken a step further, re-contextualizing the color of the piece by reducing its content to a simplified black and white aims to expose a similarity in how racial inequality is typically diluted in the U.S.
